Biographie
Angelo Garino est né à Turin le 27 août 1860. Frère du peintre Carlo, en 1875, il abandonne ses études techniques pour entrer dans l'établissement lithographique Doyen.
Il s'inscrit ensuite à l'Accademia Albertina, sous la direction de Pier Celestino Gilardi, mais est contraint par des difficultés financières d'abandonner ses études académiques.
Il se consacre à la peinture de genre, sujets agréables caractérisés par une observation attentive de la nature.
En 1879, il présente Prime impressioni à la Società Promotrice di Belle Arti de Turin, où il sera une présence constante jusqu'en 1893.
Il expose à Milan, Venise et dans d'autres villes.
Vers la fin des années 1800, il s'installe à Nice, où ses œuvres connaissent rapidement la notoriété et un marché sur la Côte d'Azur pour sa sensibilité démontrée aux stimuli Art Nouveau et floraux du début du XXe siècle.
Il est décédé à Nice le 27 novembre 1945.

Biography
Angelo Garino was born in Turin on August 27, 1860. Brother of painter Carlo, he abandoned his technical studies in 1875 to join the Doyen lithographic factory.
He later enrolled at the Accademia Albertina, under Pier Celestino Gilardi, but was forced by financial straits to abandon his academic studies.
He devoted himself to genre painting, liking subjects characterized by careful observation of nature.
In 1879 he presented Prime impressions at the Società Promotrice di Belle Arti in Turin, where he would be a constant presence until 1893.
He exhibited in Milan, Venice and other cities.
In the late 1800s he settled in Nice, where his works soon enjoyed notoriety and a market on the French Riviera for his demonstrated sensitivity to the Art Nouveau and floral stimuli of the early 20th century.
He died in Nice on November 27, 1945.
