Questo raffinato acquerello orientalista di Alberto Pasini, uno dei massimi interpreti dell’esotismo ottocentesco italiano, raffigura una vivace scena urbana in un mercato mediorientale.
La composizione, estremamente curata, evidenzia l’interesse dell’artista per la luce calda e per la resa meticolosa dei dettagli architettonici, dei costumi e delle atmosfere locali.
