Le quattro sedie mostrate sono eleganti sedie in noce con seduta imbottita e rivestita in stoffa, riconducibili allo stile Direttorio, diffusosi tra la fine del XVIII secolo e i primissimi anni dell’Ottocento.

Descrizione delle sedie

Materiale: legno di noce, caldo e compatto, con una bella patina d’epoca.

Seduta: ampia, leggermente bombata, rivestita in stoffa vellutata color bruno

Schienale: presenta una linea pulita e rigorosa, con:

una traversa superiore modellata con un leggero allargamento verso i bordi;

un medaglione centrale intagliato a ventaglio, elemento decorativo caratteristico del Direttorio, che richiama il gusto neoclassico;

Gambe: dritte e affusolate, di forma troncopiramidale, tipiche del periodo, che conferiscono slancio e leggerezza alla struttura.

The four chairs shown are elegant walnut chairs with upholstered seats covered in fabric, attributable to the Directoire style, which was popular between the late 18th century and the early 19th century.

Material: warm, compact walnut wood with a beautiful period patina.

Seat: wide, slightly rounded, upholstered in brown velvet fabric.

Backrest: clean and rigorous lines, with:

an upper crossbar shaped with a slight widening towards the edges;

a central medallion carved in a fan shape, a decorative element characteristic of the Directoire style, reminiscent of the neoclassical taste;

Legs: straight and tapered, truncated pyramid-shaped, typical of the period, giving the structure a sense of lightness and elegance.
