Si tratta di un elegante tavolo allungabile a cestello, tipica produzione piemontese della prima metà dell’Ottocento, riconducibile al periodo della Restaurazione (circa 1815–1848). Realizzato in noce massello, presenta un piano di forma ovale dal profilo mosso, con venature calde e naturali che mettono in evidenza la qualità del legno. Il bordo del piano è lievemente sagomato, contribuendo a conferirgli un aspetto sobrio ma raffinato.

Da restaurare 

La struttura è sostenuta da quattro gambe mosse, elegantemente sagomate, riunite da un caratteristico ripiano inferiore a cestello, elemento distintivo di questa tipologia. Il sostegno centrale tornito funge da fulcro visivo e strutturale, donando equilibrio e solidità al mobile.

This is an elegant extendable basket table, typical of Piedmontese production in the first half of the 19th century, dating back to the Restoration period (circa 1815–1848). Made of solid walnut, it has an oval-shaped top with a wavy profile and warm, natural grain that highlights the quality of the wood. The edge of the top is slightly shaped, contributing to its sober yet refined appearance.

The structure is supported by four elegantly shaped legs, joined by a characteristic lower basket shelf, a distinctive feature of this type of table. The turned central support acts as a visual and structural fulcrum, giving the piece balance and solidity.
