Scultura in bronzo con tiratura limitata in tutto il mondo a 1500 esemplari numerati, progressivamente da 1 a 1500 più un multiplo, non numerato, donato al "Museo Antonio Ligabue" di Gualtieri. Non esistono prove d'artista o diverse numerazioni da quanto dichiarato.
"Scultura in creta modellata da Ligabue, presubilmente intorno agli anni 1936-1942. E' senz'altro una delle più importanti sculture dell'artista, sia per intensità espressiva, sia per equilibrio formale e per contenuto. E' una lotta tra una lince e un gatto selvatico, dove la rabbia, la ferocia, l'aggresività sono espresse con tale realismo da farci ritenere che l'autore si identifichi nell'animale che solitamente è aggredito, esternando così l'angoscia, che perseguitò l'artista per tutta la vita"

"Clay sculpture modeled by Ligabue, presumably around 1936-1942. It is undoubtedly one of the artist's most important sculptures, both for its expressive intensity and for its formal balance and content. It depicts a fight between a lynx and a wild cat, where rage, ferocity, and aggression are expressed with such realism that we are led to believe that the author identifies with the animal that is usually attacked, thus expressing the anguish that haunted the artist throughout his life."
