Giuseppe Rivadossi
Ereditato l'interesse per l'arte dal padre Clemente, Rivadossi inizia ufficialmente la sua carriera artistica negli anni sessanta, avvicinandosi allo studio dei mobili e della scultura in legno, gesso, terracotta e bronzo.
Molteplici sono quindi i materiali usati nelle sue realizzazioni, sempre ispirate all’uomo, ai suoi valori e e al suo “vivere.
Dice Giuseppe Rivadossi:
Fino agli anni 60”, dove ora vivo, il rapporto uomo - uomo, uomo - natura era ancora basato su un’etica antica.
Poi arrivò l’industria e con essa ebbe inizio il saccheggio.
La speranza di una vita meno dura si tramutò presto in un’amara constatazione.
La nuova tecnologia che doveva essere solo uno strumento più perfezionato si rivelò uno strumento di frustrazione e di disgregazione generale.
In questa situazione sento sempre più profondamente il bisogno di esprimere quel senso di unità di fondo dell’esistere, come idea base da non perdere o da ritrovare a tutti i costi ogni giorno e in ogni cosa.
Ora queste immagini, queste sculture nascono dal profondo della mia esperienza come un canto, di quella speranza e di quell’unica alternativa che ci sta davanti più che di nostalgia per il passato.

Giuseppe Rivadossi
Having inherited his interest in art from his father, Clemente, Rivadossi officially began his artistic career in the 1960s, studying furniture and sculpture in wood, plaster, terracotta, and bronze.
His creations therefore employ a wide variety of materials, always inspired by humanity, its values, and its way of life.
Giuseppe Rivadossi says:
Until the 1960s, where I live now, the relationship between man and man, and man and nature, was still based on an ancient ethic.
Then came industry, and with it began the plundering.
The hope for a less harsh life soon turned into a bitter realization.
The new technology, which was supposed to be simply a more refined tool, turned out to be an instrument of frustration and general disintegration.
In this situation, I feel an ever-deeper need to express that sense of fundamental unity of existence, as a fundamental idea not to be lost or rediscovered at all costs, every day and in everything.
Now these images, these sculptures arise from the depths of my experience like a song, of that hope and that only alternative that lies before us rather than of nostalgia for the past.

Giuseppe Rivadossi
Ayant hérité de son père, Clemente, sa passion pour l'art, Rivadossi débute officiellement sa carrière artistique dans les années 1960, en étudiant le mobilier et la sculpture sur bois, plâtre, terre cuite et bronze.
Ses créations font ainsi appel à une grande variété de matériaux, toujours inspirées par l'humanité, ses valeurs et son mode de vie.
Giuseppe Rivadossi déclare :
Jusqu'aux années 1960, là où je vis actuellement, la relation entre les hommes et entre l'homme et la nature reposait encore sur une éthique ancestrale.
Puis l'industrialisation est arrivée, et avec elle le pillage.
L'espoir d'une vie moins rude s'est vite mué en une amère désillusion.
La nouvelle technologie, censée être un simple outil plus perfectionné, s'est révélée être un instrument de frustration et de dégradation générale. Dans cette situation, je ressens un besoin toujours plus profond d'exprimer ce sentiment d'unité fondamentale de l'existence, comme une idée fondamentale qu'il ne faut ni perdre ni redécouvrir à tout prix, chaque jour et en toute chose.
Désormais, ces images, ces sculptures, surgissent des profondeurs de mon expérience comme un chant, porteur de cet espoir et de cette seule alternative qui s'offre à nous, plutôt que de la nostalgie du passé.
