Description:
Description The upper body is closed by a central door, framed by a sober but well-defined molding. On the sides of the door, two anthropomorphic caryatids are carved in the round, with strong plasticity and vigorous anatomical rendering. The caryatids serve as supporting and decorative elements, visually connecting the door to the powerful projecting cornice, richly molded, which crowns the entire structure. The lower body has two doors with flat, framed panels, which give solidity and severity to the whole. On the sides of the doors appear sculptural elements similar to the upper ones: carved anthropomorphic figures, while at the top of the side pilasters are placed putto heads, recurring symbols in Baroque decoration, which introduce a note of grace and movement to the architectural severity of the furniture. The whole rests on a robust molded base, which accentuates the verticality and monumentality of the artifact.
