Ancien salon table of the 18th Century
Description:
Antique 18th-century Tuscan salon table, entirely veneered in rosewood with a drawer on the front, which makes it suitable for use as a small writing desk. The legs of this antique rectangular centre table have a soft curved line and feature an angular profile created with masterful geometric inlay, consisting of alternating ebony, maple, and mahogany woods, which give the piece of furniture a very particular elegance.
The Louis XV legs end in a squared scroll foot.
A precious decoration of geometric motifs in boxwood, walnut, and rosewood, with threaded borders, adorns both the shaped top and all the under-top friezes of the table, embellished with mouldings, allowing it to be placed in the centre of a room.
The piece has been carefully restored by our antique furniture restoration laboratory.
