Rare set of four chairs from the early Biedermeier period. Austrian Empire, likely Upper Austria or Southern Bohemia, circa 1820. Veneered in blonde walnut burl with maple and painted maple inlays. The pieces are in a state of structural integrity and patina; consolidated and with a shellac finish applied by hand using standard museum techniques on the original patina. Upholstery covered in elegant and luxurious ivory-colored fabric. We apologize for the limited number of photos, which will obviously be supplemented with detailed photos upon request.
