Piero Dorazio, an Italian painter who, with his art, contributed to the affirmation of abstractionism in Italy after World War II.
In 1947, he traveled to Paris for the first time where, thanks to Gino Severini, he met major international artists including Georges Braque, Fernand Léger, and Hans Arp, from whom he was deeply influenced.
In 1948, he exhibited at the Rome Quadriennale and at the “Salon des réalités nouvelles” in Paris; he often participated in the Venice Biennale.
