GROUP OF FOUR ARMCHAIRS Group of four armchairs in finely carved walnut; the harmoniously curved "open back" is adorned at the top by a delightful frieze with rocaille and openwork folder; vigorously shaped armrests and gently flexed uprights; the underseat band is finely carved with volutes, counter-volutes and rocaille motifs placed in the center, and creates slender en cabriole supports. Venice, Louis XV (mid-18th century).
