Ancient neoclassical wall desk entirely veneered, inlaid and threaded in precious woods, a work of high Lombard cabinet making made in the second half of the 18th century. The desk is structured around its central drawer arranged along the wide band that marks the main front. The finish of the shield-shaped maple wood vent is delightful. The rectangular shape of the top is underlined by the meticulous threads of maple and bois de rose that alternate with the beautiful rosewood veneer arranged in a symmetrical and mirrored herringbone pattern.
