Excellently crafted chest of drawers entirely veneered in rosewood. The structure, with a strongly curved and undulating body, features two drawers. The arrangement of the wood grain at forty-five degrees creates a pleasant decorative motif defined by threads made of the same wood. The everted legs are shod with gilded bronze shoes. Handles, escutcheons, and lock are from the same period. Original, intact red French marble top, chiseled on the back. Originating from France, it can be dated to the Napoleon III period (second half of the 19th century). The dimensions are: 121 x 57, height 85 cm.
