A 19th century Russian icon of the "Twelve Feasts" representing the twelve great feasts of the liturgical year of the Orthodox Church. They are represented on the icon in separate frames and are placed around the central scene of Christ's Resurrection and Descent to the Underworld. Surrounding the central scene are the twelve episodes from the life of Christ (despotic feasts) and the Mother of God (theomitoric feasts). 33 x 27,7 x 2 cm.
