A delightful tempera painting on cardboard from the late 1800s, depicting four masked characters in a countryside setting. The painting alone measures 40x55 cm, with an original Art Nouveau frame from the period but not contemporary, measuring 48x62 cm. The antique tempera painting bears an unidentified signature in the bottom left corner (see photo), as does the origin; some color loss on the faces and the white aprons of the girl and boy (see photo).
