Text entirely printed in red and black with engraved tailpieces and headbands. Illustrated frontispiece, a fine portrait of the dedicatee (in mezzotint style) and 8 full-page engravings depicting the life of Christ, each framed by Baroque decorations. All finely engraved on copper. Beautiful contemporary full-leather binding, entirely decorated in gold. Raised spine bands, marbled endpapers, and gilt edges.
