This evocative, luminous landscape view, enlivened by a delightful country festival, is the work of Gaetano Zais (active in Venice in the second half of the 18th century). In this beautiful landscape, the distinctive colorism, rich in warm tones typical of his father Giuseppe Zais's palette, while the motifs of the pre-Alpine landscape and the leafy arboreal backdrops recall the compositional taste of Marco Ricci, the great master who, at the beginning of the 18th century, paved the way for the renewal of the landscape genre.
