The furniture derives from a chest, later transformed into a seat by the addition of an open backrest with an upper crossbar and pinnacle pilasters with shell terminals. The sculptural decoration is arranged in three registers: a base with a continuous frieze of acanthus leaves, a central body with a relief panel depicting two telamones on either side of an unidentified coat of arms within an oval cartouche, inserted into a symmetrical composition of leafy volutes and rosettes. The backrest features a large ribbed shell flanked by acanthus leaf shelves. Uprights covered in scales. The seat is upholstered. Condition report: Solid structure.
