Swiss painting from the early 20th century. Oil on canvas (glued to masonite) artwork depicting a bucolic landscape with cows and a shepherdess, of good pictorial quality. This horizontally arranged painting, of good size and luminosity, is suitable for antique dealers and interior decorators.
Signed Giron lower right (see photo), attributed to the Swiss painter Charles Giron (1850-1914), missing additional documentation. This painting could easily be placed in different areas of the home, is pleasantly decorated and beautifully proportioned. The canvas has some minor paint loss (see photo), but the artwork is overall in fair condition.
