LOUIS XVI BUREAU IN CHERRY, SECOND HALF OF THE 18TH CENTURY  Translated
Description:
Refined bureau entirely veneered in cherry wood, embellished with elegant rosewood inlay. The piece of furniture is distinguished by its truncated pyramidal legs and four drawers, ergonomic and ideal for storing objects, openable with lost-wax cast bronze keys. The bureau also features a practical small work or writing table, located under the main surface and openable via a pull tab, covered with green fabric. The inlay and veneer contribute to enhancing the aesthetics of the furniture, creating a refined geometric play and highlighting the wood grain. Furthermore, it is a 'giorno' or center desk, as it is also veneered on the back. This bureau is a piece of great class and sophistication, capable of adding a touch of elegance and antiquity to any setting. Tuscan craftsmanship from the Luigi XVI period, around the second half of the 18th century. Measurements: H x W x D 78 x 105.5 x 59.5cm; H x W leg space 59 x 41cm  Translated
