AC/1016
Faux marble sculpture made in the 1950s, resting on a faux marble wooden column, a replica of the famous work by Pietro Calvi (1833 - 1884) (of which it bears an apocryphal signature) inspired by the story and life of Princess Selika. This work was commissioned by the French actor Jean Marais, who owned the original, to be used in the sets of the film "Futures Vedettes" which he starred in alongside the very young Brigitte Bardot.
