George II sterling silver spirit kettle on stand, Samuel Courtauld?, London, 1739-55
Decorated with foliage, flowers and heads, engraved cartouches, a swing handle in the form of a caryatid covered in raffia, hinged lid, the stand cast and relief decorated with three supports, fixed burner.

Maker's mark: Samuel Courtauld?
Leopard's head: city of London
Lion passant: alloy mark. Guarantee control of 925/1000 sterling title

Slight signs of age and superficial scratches. The four hallmarks are present on the base of the kettle and the burner.
