Bureau plat desk in Louis XV style, made during the Napoleon III period in black lacquered wood with gilded Chinoiserie decorations: oriental landscapes with figures, architecture, trees, and birds. The gilt bronze mounts include rocaille-motif corners and finely chiseled acanthus leaf feet. The shaped top, bordered by a gilt bronze frame, is covered in carmine red leather; the front is completed by two side drawers and a central drawer.
Condition report: Good general condition, with signs of wear consistent with the age of the furniture.
