Pair of veneered cabinets, Genoa, Barocchetto style, late 19th century  Translated
Description:
Pair of veneered cabinets, Genoa, Barocchetto style, late 19th century Measurements: Cm H 88 x W 49 x D 40, top 40 x 31 cm price: by private negotiation item accompanied by our certificate of authenticity This pair of center cabinets was made in the Barocchetto style, around the end of the 19th century in Genoa. The structure of each cabinet is in rosewood veneered wood, while the top is in solid walnut. On the front, it features a small open compartment, below which a door, with a bronze handle, conceals a storage space. Finished on all four sides, they appear very graceful thanks to the curved profiles of the lower bands; the same curved line delimits three sides from above: the sides and the back protrude from the top, creating a refined decoration and preventing, at the same time, objects or papers placed on the top from falling. The four saber legs continue linearly from the uprights, lending movement and sinuosity. The door, the sides, and the back are embellished with fine inlay work where the applied wood essence creates a decorative effect that utilizes the chromatic variations of the wood grain itself. These cabinets, which can also be used as bedside tables, can be placed both in the center of rooms and near sofas, walls, or corners, in various settings, paired with both antique and modern furnishings.  Translated
