Important fireplace from a grand Parisian aristocratic palace, Louis XV style, made of red breccia marble from France, early 19th century, complete with internal cast iron plates.
The large fireplace features a front with a central shell, typical of the period, and acanthus leaves on the sides. It includes cast iron plates with bas-reliefs, influenced by the Louis XV style with figurative scenes. The plates served both as ornamentation and to reflect heat.
The surround is entirely original.
