Very elegant secretaire à abattant veneered in mahogany feather and embellished with refined gilt-mercury bronze applications. Light-colored wooden interior, French craftsmanship from the early Empire period.
The design of the front is framed by two fine tall columns with finely chiseled gilt bronze bases and capitals, and by a large fall-front (upper part) and two doors (lower part). It follows the typical scheme of this type of furniture born during the Napoleonic era and known as Secrétaire. The appearance is sharply defined by the beautiful aesthetic rendering of the mahogany feather that embellishes the entire piece of furniture with luminous brilliance, also enhanced by the excellent restoration carried out by our team of restorers using the traditional shellac and tampon method.
