Description:
Oil painting on board depicting the Three Peaks of Lavaredo, with particular attention to the vertical rock profiles and chromatic variations of the Dolomite surfaces. The forms emerge from a compact painted surface, articulated in textured passages that highlight the contrasts between shaded and illuminated areas. The base of the composition is occupied by a rocky plateau rendered in ochre and brown tones, with modeling achieved through superimposed brushstrokes. The peaks rise upwards and are treated with a range of browns and yellows, while the uniform, light sky frames the vertical structure of the mountain range. The artist's signature with the date appears in the lower right corner.
Available with a custom-made 7 cm antique fir wood frame, crafted in our restoration workshop.
