Description:
Painting depicting a winter alpine landscape dominated in the center by the figure of the Alpspitze, in the Bavarian Alps, Germany. The rocky relief is rendered through a solid and simplified construction, with inclined planes highlighted by light coloration and cold shadows.
In the foreground, a snowy slope can be recognized, crossed by irregular marks suggesting the movement of the terrain and the light on the snow. On the left, some conifer trees emerge, treated with a textured and synthetic brushstroke, which introduces a vertical element in contrast to the horizontal trend of the landscape.
The palette is contained, dominated by blues, grays, and whites, with darker touches in the rocks and foliage. The painterly application is thick and visible, with evident brushstrokes that give rhythm and depth to the surface.
An antique fir frame of 7 cm, custom-made in our restoration laboratory, is available upon request.
