Elegant Piedmontese chest of drawers from the 18th century, a refined expression of the neoclassical taste prevalent under the influence of the Louis XVI style. The solid and harmonious structure is enhanced by rich geometric and floral inlay decoration, executed with great artisanal skill using fine woods.
The front is divided into three large drawers, each adorned with refined marquetry motifs with central rosette medallions, creating an elegant compositional rhythm. The top surface features a sunburst decoration, a distinctive element that highlights the depth and color variety of the woods used.
The sober and proportionate lines, combined with the lightness of the slightly curved legs, give the piece of furniture a formal balance typical of Piedmontese production of the period, capable of conjugating functionality and high decorative quality.
