The frame is entirely pierced with volutes and acanthus leaves, following a decorative repertoire of Florentine Baroque tradition widely adopted by Tuscan workshops throughout the 19th century. The rabbet is defined by a thin carved molding with small leaves, which clearly separates the pierced profile from the opening.
