This rare underplate, manufactured by Chiodo-Peirano, with a blueish background, was made by molding and features a shaped and fluted rim with a double row of holes on the rim and the base.
The Baroque-style decoration, which covers the entire surface, features a central scene with two young women accompanied by putti. The ample landscape is highly stylized with grassy patches, buildings, and mountains in the background. Stylized floral clusters are on the reverse.
Two similar examples are preserved in the Civic Collections of Genoa.
