Opulent majolica inkwell with a pyramidal structure on a square base, articulated on three superimposed levels, one side of which houses the (later) drawers for writing utensils. Resting on four lion's paw feet, it culminates in an ovoid inkpot, supported by four plastic heraldic shields, molded in cartouches and decorated with the coat of arms of the noble Tuscan family Minerbetti.
The sides of the inkwell are molded with fluting, while the corners are adorned with plastic harpies.
The decoration, in the compendiary style, consists of slender vegetable tendrils painted in blue, yellow, and orange on a white background.
