Venetian painter (late 19th - early 20th century) - Venice, view of St. Mark's Square with the Basilica and the Campanile.  Translated
Description:
Venetian painter (late 19th - early 20th century) - Venice, view of St. Mark's Square with the Basilica and the Campanile. 32 x 24 cm (unframed) - 40 x 32 cm (framed). Oil on canvas, in a carved and gilded wooden frame. The painting depicts St. Mark's Square animated by a few passing figures and pigeons, with St. Mark's Basilica in the foreground and the Campanile rising on the right. The brushwork, rapid and impressionistic in touch, is typical of Venetian production between the 19th and 20th centuries, aimed at an audience of travelers and collectors. The small figures in the foreground refer to the typical repertoire of Venetian veduta tradition. Condition report: Original canvas. There are old restorations and repairs to the canvas, with some paint loss visible in the area of the Campanile. - All shipments within the EU are free and professionally packed. - Each item is sold with a legally valid certificate of authenticity. - Further details on the condition report are available upon request. - Viezzi Arte guarantees quality and professionalism at competitive prices, contact us at [email protected] or via WhatsApp at +39 3402841279. *Message to non-Italian buyers: Please note that this work has not yet obtained the certificate of free export from Italy from the Superintendence for Cultural Heritage.
