Eliodoro Coccoli was born in Brescia on June 30, 1880 and died there on March 1, 1974.
Having shown a strong inclination towards painting since early childhood, he attended the “Moretto” Art School, where, after obtaining his diploma, he became a teacher.
From 1925 to 1955 he was a “figure” teacher at the “Beato Angelico” School in Milan.
At a very young age he entered the national and international artistic life, participating in numerous competitions, winning prizes and vast recognition.
Eliodoro, gifted with great graphic talent, was rarely an “easel painter”, dedicating himself mainly to the creation of frescoes and decorations for churches and important buildings.
He made numerous interventions in Italy (Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino Alto Adige), and abroad, where he worked in Switzerland and Malta.
Presented here is a charcoal drawing on dusting paper preparatory to the subsequent creation of a fresco.
The work, like all our other objects, will be sold with a certificate of authenticity.
