Description
The piece of furniture features curved and dynamic lines, typical of the late Baroque style, with a strong emphasis on scenography and the dynamism of forms. Made of walnut burl, with inlay work and evident ebonized fillets, a technique common in Lombardy in the 18th century. The upper part is a two-door display cabinet with original mercury mirrors and a highly shaped top. The lower part consists of a central drop-front desk with an internal writing surface and drawers below with shaped fronts. The sides have a remarkable concave forging. The whole rests on shaped, truncated pyramid supports.
