Four carved wood armchairs. Italy, mid-19th century. 56 x 48 x h 89 cm. A set of four cherry wood armchairs, attributable to Italian production from the second quarter of the 19th century in the Charles X style. The horizontal top rail backrest, centered by a perforated oval medallion carved with gilded vegetal motifs, is the main decorative element. The armrests have a curved profile with an attachment to the squared seat; the front legs are tapered and straight, while the rear legs are saber-shaped. The seat is in Vienna straw, completed by a cushion upholstered in light-colored fabric. Condition report: Good overall condition.
