An elegant 19th-century neoclassical painting. Oil on canvas artwork depicting the three theological virtues: faith, hope, and charity. The central figure, dressed in white and carrying a cross, symbolizes faith; next to her, hope is recognizable by the anchor, while the young woman leaning affectionately represents charity. The composition, constructed with great balance, is distinguished by the grace of the female figures, the delicacy of the faces, and the softness of the draperies.
This painting can be traced back to the late neoclassical German painting style of the second half of the 19th century. A beautifully decorated painting, ideal for refined, classic, and contemporary settings. A 20th-century frame in carved and gilded wood shows some signs of aging.
