Pair of polychrome rectangular wrought iron shelves from the early 20th century, Italian Art Nouveau artifacts composed of a sheet metal top with a border worked with repoussé sheet metal acanthus leaves. The shelf is formed by two volutes in flat iron strips held by bands and rivets, at the center of which are grafted sprigs of flowers and leaves. They are handcrafted and lacquered in tones of green, brown, and red. Of Italian manufacture, they date back to the first decades of the 1900s, Liberty period. They come from a private Milanese collection and are in good condition. They are fixed to the wall by two hooks, see listed photograph. Period: 1910 Height: 17 cm Width: 35 cm Depth: 10 cm
