The elegant, large Chinese porcelain vase, with a slender silhouette featuring an ovoid body and a tall, flared neck, is entirely covered in a delicate aquamarine celadon glaze. It was made in China around the early 19th century. The entire surface is densely decorated with a refined white floral motif: small flowering branches, buds, and leaves are arranged in a continuous pattern, creating a sophisticated effect that lends grace to the object's imposing form. On the neck and shoulder, small Foo dogs and lizards in relief are sculpted with ornamental flair and perfectly integrated into the decoration. The clear, luminous celadon hue is enhanced by the glaze's brilliance and the contrast with the white decoration. The harmonious proportions, the quality of the paste and the glazing, combined with the unique richness of the vegetal repertoire, make this vase a decorative piece with a strong presence, suitable for enhancing classical or contemporary environments.
