Three Antique Gilded Three-Flame Candelabras from the Late 1700s in carved poplar wood. An octagonal base supports a large vase with grooves and a gadrooned edge with a large central festoon. Floral and foliate decorations richly adorn the sides of the structure, which culminates in three candle-holding arms. Conceived for the decoration of an altar, they are carved and gilded only on the front; the back is finished with yellow ochre. In excellent condition with splendid water gilding in fine gold, apart from the minor flaws documented in the image gallery, they are ideal for use in interior lighting. Northern Italy, second half of the 1700s.
