Heads of Winged Angels In Wood. Carved in larch wood and lacquered with distemper, they date back to the 19th century and are in a good state of preservation, apart from a crack present at the bottom of the face of one of the two heads. These two winged cherub faces are ancient wall decorations, ideal as over-doors. They have minimal imperfections and color losses compatible with the dating. Considering the circular recess in the back, it is assumed that these figures of winged putti were originally used as a base for an element that was grafted into this recess. Italian artifacts from the mid-1800s. Height: 19 cm; Width: 51 cm; Depth: 12 cm
