Contemporary half-leather binding with corners, spines with raised bands and gold titles. Marbled endpapers and gilt top edges. Wide-margined copy in excellent condition, printed on strong paper. Also preserved are the beautiful original illustrated wrappers with the oval portrait of Poe. Famous edition with the translation by Charles Baudelaire. Collector's copy. Cf.
