Refined oil painting on canvas, in a carved and gilded wooden frame. The painting depicts a festive scene inside a tavern, in which two characters can be seen, including a man in profile on the left, in typical 17th-century clothing, with a crew neck, hat, and a sword in his right hand. The man is sitting and with his left hand holds a goblet, placed on a plate where some food can be seen. On the right there is a girl, with gypsy clothes and splendid earrings, probably a shopkeeper, who carries the wine jug in her hand. It is a lively and vibrant scene, of which one can appreciate the pictorial mastery, capable of giving a touch of class and refinement to any environment. The artist's signature Mattia Greco is also present in the lower right. Italian manufacture from the early 20th century.
