William IV sterling silver teapot, Paul Storr for Storr & Mortimer, London, 1834?
Of a flattened circular form, the body with bold vertical lobing to the lower part and a smooth polished upper band, resting on a splayed circular foot. The hinged domed lid, with corresponding radial flutes, is surmounted by a lobed finial; the arched wooden handle and finial mounts are designed to insulate from heat. Slender, tapered spout, of elegant proportions.

Slight signs of wear and surface scratches. The five stamps are present on the side of the teapot. The lion passant hallmarks are present on the base of the lid. Storr & Mortimer mark on the base of the teapot.
