A glimpse of a district crossed by a small bridge over the canal; the figure of the fruit and vegetable seller is centrally positioned on the street, waiting sadly on the threshold for customers to arrive. Paolo Baroni produced both landscape and popular subject paintings, as well as drawings, caricatures, and decorations. There are traces of patching on the back of the canvas. It is presented in a period frame.
