Oil on canvas. French school of the 18th century. The elegant lady poses draped in a green velvet cloak trimmed with fur, gold trimmings, and lace; languidly leaning one arm on the marble balustrade behind her, she holds a small dog on her lap, which also seems to be posing. Restored and relined at the end of the 19th century, the painting currently has some slight color losses. It is presented in a gilded frame from the late 19th century, which also has some missing parts and losses of gilding.
