Rare and important large Urbino plaque depicting a scene with the Adoration of the Shepherds which includes a group of singing angels and a palm tree in the background, an evangelical symbol of martyrdom.
This is a polychrome ceramic work of rare dimensions that came from the Patanazzi workshop, active between 1580 and 1620 in Urbino.
The plaque is in excellent condition, there are no cracks or visible breaks, it has probably received old restorations.
It is mounted on a beautiful gilded and finely carved 17th-century Roman frame.
The dimensions of the plaque are approximately 50cm H x 38cm; those including the frame are 58cm H x 48cm.
