Important mid-18th century Emilian oval frame, datable to the transition between the late Louis XV and the early Louis XVI style. Finely carved with vegetal motifs and intertwined ribbons, it features an elegant love knot on the crest, a decorative element that anticipates the neoclassical language while maintaining a still rocaille setting. The surface is silvered and gilded; the oxidation of the silver and the worn gilding now restore a warm and deeply authentic patina, particularly appreciated in the antiques sector. Large frame, suitable for containing oval portraits, mirrors or decorative paintings. Good structural condition, with wear and tear of the finish consistent with age.
