Refined set of three antique lacquered and decorated doors, an authentic expression of Tyrolean folk art, from the Alpine area. The doors are made of solid wood and have a solid and well-proportioned structure, with original wrought iron hardware - locks, bolts and handles - attributable to an ancient production, prior to the decorative interventions currently visible.
The green lacquer, together with the painted decorations, appears to be the result of subsequent interventions, presumably carried out or resumed in the first decades of the twentieth century, in compliance with the Alpine decorative tradition.
The doors are decorated on both sides:
on one side they have figured panels with scenes of rural life and characters related to the agricultural world, while the lower panels are decorated with floral compositions;
on the other side they are decorated with two panels with a floral motif, inserted within shaped frames painted with volutes and racemes.
Although belonging to the same set, the three doors show slight iconographic and compositional variations, an element that underlines their craftsmanship and non-serial nature. The surface retains a patina consistent with age and use, with normal signs of aging compatible with the function and history of the object.
Ideal for architectural recovery projects, historic environments or interiors of great character, these doors represent a significant testimony to the material and decorative culture of the Alpine regions.
