Finely carved shelf decorated with gold and black lacquer. Central Italy, late 17th century.

Antique walnut shelf from the Baroque or early Rococo period, the object is painted in black lacquer and features gold leaf decoration. The area of production is the Papal States of the 17th century, likely produced for important noble furnishings in central Italy, given the richness of the carving. Measurements approximately 65cm x 70cm high x 36cm deep. We attach a certificate of authenticity to the sale.
